This is
a rarity that doesn't come onto the market very often, a 1930's Art Deco Walnut
partners desk. This fabulous desk is generously proportioned for the heavy desk
user, so if you use your computer a lot and always have mountains of paper wotk,
then this is for you! 7 drawers altogether - one is a
double, which is for
filing, two brushing slides, one each side of the top ( Walnut pull outs, for
extra resting space). To the back of the desk are two cupboards - shown in pics
with internal shelving. The leather isn't mint condition, although doesn't have
any tears or ink marks etc and is a nice dark turquoise colour - perfectly acceptable
condition and doesn't look unsightly as some aged leathers can look. Made by Hamptons
of Pall Mall East London with their stamp on one left hand drawer. It comes apart
as follows, a plinth, two pedestals and the top which is one whole piece and lastly
a Walnut panel which is an insert to the back, so your legs can't been seen when
sat at it! The Burl Walnut grain is fabulous and very detailed, something you'll
never be bored of looking at - dimensions are: Height 30½" Width
69"
and 36" depth.
A real must for the decerning Art Deco fan, we defy you
not to fall inlove with it!
