This is a superb example of a 1930's Art deco blonde
bed with integral cabinets by the esteemed and highly sort after furniture
maker H&L Epstein. As you would expect this bed has been spared
no costs and have so have been veneered in the most glorious blonde
burl Walnut veneers, the base wood is Mahogany. It features integral
bedside cabinets with generous sized storage within, a pull out shelf
for extra space. The headboard has the desired 'cloud' odeonesque
shape which is followed onto the footboard. Cream bakelite handles
with red Lucite detailing finish this bed off perfectly. Although
the bed frame is for a standard 4ft6" double mattress, the internal
width is just a smidge over 5ft, so if wanted it will accommodate
a queen sized mattress. It's been some months since we've been able
to source this style of bed, they really are becoming extremely hard
to find, so we are delighted to be able to offer you this gem. Fully
restored and French polished this bed is ready to grace your home.
