This is a truly outstanding 1930's Art Deco Burr Elm dressing table made by the highly regarded H & L Epstein, one of the finest furniture makers of this wonderful era. This dressing table exudes quality, all of the drawers and cupboards open as smoothly as the day it was made. The attention to detail in every aspect - such as the craftsmanship, the timbers and veneers used and the polish is of the highest quality. This wonderful dresser comprises a cloud shaped mirror ( excellent condition with no chips, foxing or misting etc) and a very glamorous border of pink mirrored glass with wonderful glass flower shaped studs, which are original to the mirror and complete. The base to the dressing table has two side cupboards which are ribbon shaped and open to reveal 3 internal pull out drawers. There is also one pull out central trinket/cosmetic drawer, which also has a secret drawer inside. To the front of the door is a fabulous corrugated effect.This fabulous piece also boasts original bakelite handles which are in a mottled pink colour. The kneehole area has been veneered too - how luscious is that?
