Although a large piece, it's narrow in depth, so would lend itself well in most rooms. If you have a good width hallway, it would look great there too. Can display either books or collections - great item!

Extremely inpressive and rare 1930's Art Deco original walnut bookcase. This outstanding and imposing piece of furniture exudes quality, both in quality of veneers and craftmanship. We think this bookcase possibly to be French in origin. Although this piece is very large, it's quite narrow in depth and would be ideal for any room with a vacant wall space. This bookcase features enclosed shelves either side which are adjustable in height, flanked by two heavily figured burr walnut doors. To the centre are two glazed doors with a beautifully veneered astragal design. There are five internal and generous sized shelves which are also adjustable in height. All in all this is a very functional and very high quality piece and would make a great focal piece for any room. We defy anyone not to fall in love with this bookcase when in situ! This bookcase has been newly French polished and is in Mint condition.
