This is a fabulous lucite box weave bag. Made in the 1940's, this bag is ideal for modern day use, daytime or evening. The lucite lid deep burgandy colour with a root beer coloured lucite handle. The body of the bag is made from weaved copper tone and brass strips. LUCITE was invented by DuPont in the USA in the 1930's as a hard wearing utility material but was the adopted by fashion designers to create these stylish enduring designs.
